Women exhibit uniqueness in every way they perform. Women are born managers, they are capable of managing with and handling variety of tasks. They are homemakers cum workplace heroes, with managerial as well as technical skills pertaining to the workplace. Women are strong leaders who lead the domain which they are a part of. They play a vital role in the workplace. Their managerial skills assist with the complicated tasks and situations which prevail. Be it technology or management, women outshine in every domain, and present ideas which significantly contribute to the growth of the organisations they are part of. Naturally, women are considered patient, practical and calm; which highly enhance the quality of work, creates vents for more ideas and thoughts.

However, in the current scenario, there are situations in workplaces where women excel but the appreciation to their contribution is not visible in the forefront. The irony lies in the fact that there still exists a learning gap when it is about training and up-skilling the workforce in an organisation. Despite holding prestigious degrees, awards and being achievers, women in general stay unrecognised. The absence of recognition somewhere affects the balance in the organisations, thereby leading to women being underrepresented. When they are underrepresented, they need a space to release their vital thoughts, acquire skills with their own way they are comfortable with and can acquire maximum learning. They need a space to realise their real potential and open up with the best of thoughts.

Just as cooking a recipe demands necessary ingredients, herein as well, a mandatory ingredient they require is a ‘push’. The push is comprised of learning, guidance and flexibility and freedom to express. One can undeniably mention it as ‘bespoke skilling’. Bespoke skilling or learning can be summarised as the provision of skillsets and knowledge specifically meant for a target group. Women, if trained, keeping in view their own uniqueness and experiences they carry, can prove highly beneficial to their intellectual growth and profile. If implemented, it surely enables the organisations to get most out of the skillsets and correctly as well as more effectively utilise talents.

Some of the common ways to create a viable ecosystem for women to upgrade and enhance their skillset include women-oriented programmes, trainings, seminars and events. These represent the transforming picture of workplaces and organisations, and provision them with a base to utilise and enhance their skills more efficiently and fairly.

Bespoke skilling can let women open up and put forward their ideas which can transform an organisation and contribute fairly to the growth. The learning for women should be encouraged, bespoke. Bespoke skilling can help eliminate the underrepresentation of women at workplace and enable them to equally contribute to organisation and promote their ideas. Moreover, bespoke learning expose a good leader in a woman and lead to the career advancement of not only an individual but for the group as well as the organisation. If they are given a fair opportunity to exhibit their thoughts, skills in a bespoke manner, the probability of success for a firm increases due to diversity of thoughts. If there is fairness in provision of knowledge, it proportionally lets women to earn what they actually deserve as per their knowledge. When women are given a right direction, method and keys to learn and utilise their potential, they uplift and elevate their peer groups as well.

In order to eliminate the imbalance of management levels the women employees are deployed, and assign them with the roles they deserve, bespoke learning is a key ingredient. In addition, bespoke learning methods must be implemented prior to hiring and joining programmes, wherein the real meaning of equal employment opportunities lies too. Hence, from hiring to deployment on site and the project assignments, bespoke learning should not be ignored.

Advancements in careers is merely measured by the parameters of compensation and benefits, but it is more reliant on the balance and enrichment of skill set and knowledge each employee of an organisation possesses. To inculcate the skills, one needs a good mentor along with the right methods and environment to learn. Thus, bespoke learning and skilling can be considered a crucial factor to lead the women with industries forward. The goal shall also include elimination of inequalities that seem to exist and appear natural till today. Bespoke manner of learning for women will allow the natural, deep rooted myths and assumptions to be uprooted. The quality of work and workplace shall be based more on the potential, rather than being gender or community specific.

Presently, the world is witnessing an era of change, transformation, and revolutions. It may not be incorrect to state if we can surely witness a revolution of change for the superwomen of organisations and industries, who can put their knowledge and skills to the best and leverage them for their growth, enhancement and empowerment.
